Every once in a great while, a module comes along which has the potential of revolutionizing the way your news items are displayed. PJ NewsList is one of them. Thanks to the fantastic smart image resizing script "Smart Image Resizer 1.4.1" by Joe Lencioni (http://shiftingpixel.com), we have a very versatile News List which includes dynamically generated thumbnails from the first image of your article.
Here are some of the features of this module: - Area Height - You just tell the module how many pixels high it should be.
- Scrollbars? -If the information is longer than can be displayed, should scrollbars be employed?
- Section, Category - Include/Exclude - Where to get the news from
- Display Items - How many Items to display in total
- Order
- Display date
- Display "Read More"
- Display Full Items - How Many Items to display with more than just the title and the date. If the number of displayed items surpasses this number, the remaining items will only be displayed with linked title and (if enabled) the date.
- Intro text limit - How much text to display. If left blank the module will display the entire intro to the article.
- Date Format
- Show / Hide Frontpage Items?
The Image Parameters offer you precise control over how the thumbnails are rendered.
